How a Biotechnology graduate started her career in renowned MNC

This is the success story of our alumni, Nikita. She has completed her B.Sc and M.Sc in Biotechnology. She got placed at Clarivate Analytics.

Niketa expressed how IPR as a subject during her M.Sc in biotechnology generated her interest in the field of IPR. She didn't want to pursue a PhD. She got interested in IPR as it was one of the topics during her days of B.Sc. Because of the Covid pandemic, she did not get campus placement.

She chose IIPTA and got herself enrolled in Job oriented patent analyst training (JOPAT) program. According to her, her curriculum was really good. She stated that live classes are helpful in better understanding the course.

In this 3-months program, she learned about laws associated with trademarks, copyrights, and patents in India and the U.S. and how they are helpful in the IPR industry. Also, he learned about patent searching in databases. Indian Patent Office (IPO), United States Patents and Trademarks (USPTO), European Patent Office (EPO), Google Patents and World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
