We are sharing the success story of one of our alumni Chidvilas. Now he is working in Clarivate Analytics in Hyderabad. Completed his M. Sc in Chemistry (5-year integrated course) from Osmania University. He worked on many research projects while working on them his focus was attracted by Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), Chidvilas want to learn more about IPR, so after a lot of research, he discovered the Job-oriented Patent Analyst Training Program (JOPAT) offered by IIPTA, He enrolled in that programme.

In this 3-months JOPAT program of IIPTA, he learned about laws associated with trademarks, copyrights, and patents in India and the U.S. and how they are helpful in the IPR industry. Also, he learned about patent searching in databases. Indian Patent Office (IPO), United States Patents and Trademarks (USPTO), European Patent Office (EPO), Google Patents and World Intellectual property Organization (WIPO). He also mentioned how live classes helped him grasp the knowledge of IPR. She expressed how the JOPAT program IIPTA helped him to learn practical knowledge in the domain of IPR and also in personality development.

The term IPR denotes intellectual property rights which means the rights conferred by the creator/owner upon their innovations. They seek to protect the interests of the creators by rewarding their mental labour and allowing them to retain property rights over their creations. The creators and inventors are thus entitled to benefit from their creations.

He is currently employed as a Patent Analyst at Clarivate Analytics, one of the leading IP firms. He’s doing a great job there and getting a decent salary package as well. Chidvilas attributes a large portion of his accomplishment to his parents and the IIPTA team, who were always encouraging. To live up to his parents' expectations is his dream, and he’s very thankful to the IIPTA team for bringing it into reality. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavours.
