How did an LLB graduate find that the IP sector is best for her?

Aastha Sood has worked in both litigation and the corporate sector as an intern and during those internships she realized that litigation was not for her. She wants job security that is present in the corporate field. She doesn't want to imagine her working in the judiciary line forever. She has been interested in IPR from the start but due to corona she was not able to work in the IP field.

One day she attended IIPTA’s webinar led by the Mrs. Cheshta Sharma ma’am (registered Patent agent), then she came to know how great the scope of the IPR field. She decided that she should go for the corporate sector and then she enrolled in the IIPTA’s JOPAT Program. She really liked IIPTA’s faculty members, their guidance and overall program. She believes that IIPTA proved itself as a mediator which connected her to its dream job.

She has done her law degree from Panjab University, Chandigarh. During her school days, she was a bright student academically and had participated in a lot of competitions. She also did a lot of internships in different sectors. Now she is working with Clarivate Analytics.
