How a M.Sc. graduate changed her career from Patent data associate to Patent Associate?

Meenakshi was post-graduated from Jaipur National University (M.Sc. in organic chemistry) and graduated from Delhi University. After completing her studies, she started working as a Patent Data Associate at Innodata India Pvt. Ltd. She worked there for the past 3.7 years.

She said that her previous job (Patent Data Associate) was related to patents but quite different from the IPR domain and more about data structures and all.

Many of her friends were working in the IPR field, so she also thought of trying it. Later, she joined IIPTA’s JOPAT Program from where she got selected in one of the top IP companies within a short period of time. Now, she is working in Anov IP as a Patent Associate.

During the 3 months course, IIPTA taught her Patent searching, Patentability searching, FTO searching, Invalidity searching, Prior art searching, Patent laws of Indian, US & European jurisdictions, Patent prosecution, Patent forms, Patent infringement, Patent Drafting etc .
