This is the success story of our alumni, Mukesh Kumar. He has completed his B.Pharma and M.Pharma from the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Hyderabad. He got placed at AnovIP, Delhi.
He explained his journey when he attended one of the guest lectures during his M.Pharma. The guest explained the scope of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in the field of life sciences. He talked about patent agents and an exam conducted by the government in order to become one, known as Patent Agent Examination. Also, Mukesh has experience working in labs
Mukesh always wanted to explore new things and in IPR, besides the field of life sciences, he was getting more exposure to multiple domains like R&D (research and development) . He also found out about various new technologies around the world.
After a lot of research, he found out about the JOPAT program of IIPTA. She got enrolled in the same.
In this 3-months program, she learned about laws associated with trademarks, copyrights, and patents in India and the U.S. and how they are helpful in the IPR industry. Also, he learned about patent searching in databases. Indian Patent Office (IPO), United States Patents and Trademarks (USPTO), European Patent Office (EPO), Google Patents and World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
He also mentioned that there is no workload in the JOPAT program. He appreciated the course material, which comprises the live class.
